Resumen
Este artículo es planteado desde una perspectiva histórica. Se estructuró en tres secciones, primero la Introducción que desarrolla una pequeña descripción socio-geográfica del cantón de San Ramón, un esbozo teórico sobre el ajedrez y elementos históricos de este deporte en Costa Rica y en el Cantón. La segunda sección describe Los principios del ajedrez en San Ramón, contemplando desde el primer registro existente en 1925 hasta el año de 1986. La tercera sección relata los Tiempos recientes, comenzando con el proceso llevado a cabo por Bernal González Acosta, seguido por el período de administración de Paúl González sobre el grupo de ajedrez de San Ramón, retomando como tercer elemento el papel de la rama femenina y finalizando con la última etapa de organización por parte de varios atletas. Como última sección se desarrollan las conclusiones.
Abstract
This article is raised from a historical perspective. It is structured in three sections, first the Introduction that develops a small socio-geographical description of San Ramón, a theoretical outline about chess and some historical elements of this sport in Costa Rica and in San Ramón. The second section describes the beginning of chess in San Ramón, contemplating from the first existent register in 1925 until 1986. The third section relates the recent times, beginning with the process carried out by Bernal González Acosta, followed by the Paúl González administration of the San Ramón chess group, taking as a third element the role of the female's branch and concluding with the last phase of this organization when was taken on by several athletes. As a last section it will be develop the conclusions.
